Pipe Fitter / Car accident Leads Excerise 5

Pipe Fitter

Direct Lead:

Duane La Chance, 55, suffered third-degree burns and was listed in serious condition Wednesday night after he accidentally touched a power line carrying 15,000 volts with a piece of angle iron.


Delayed Lead:

The job of a pipe fitter is one that usually isn't thought of as a dangerous job. Duane La Chance however, would say otherwise because as he was installing new pipes on the roof of a power plant, he was accidentally electrocuted and suffered third-degree burns.



Car Accident:

Direct Lead:

James Cunning, 20, was the recipient of a traffic accident yesterday, as Wayne Clay, 19, crossed the centerline of U.S. 63 and hit Cunning head on.



Delayed Lead:

On one early afternoon in Lincoln County, the actions of one reckless teenager almost cost the life of another person. As James Cunning was driving south on U.S. 63, 19-year-old Wayne Clay crossed the centerline and struck Cunning sending him to the hospital.
